Echmiadzin, Zvartnots Cathedral
Echmiadzin, also known as Vagharshapat, located 18 km (11 mi) west of Yerevan, is the religious capital of Armenia. Echmiadzin hosts many churches.
Tatev (lit. "Give Wings") is one of the best known and most visited monasteries in Armenia. Tatev is a 9th-century complex located 280 km (174 mi) away from the capital.

Garni is a village in Armenia that hosts a classic Greco-Roman temple of the same name. Garni temple is located 30 km south-east from Yerevan in the valley of Azat river.
